The Force will be strong at Star Wars Night: May 10

A short time from now in a ballpark not far, far away we'll be celebrating the most popular movies in the entire galaxy. Star Wars Night is back at Fifth Third Field. The Force will be strong during the Saturday, May 10 Hens game with Star Wars-themed sights and sounds, character appearances, a 'light sword' giveaway and much more.

Star Wars Night is presented by KISS, WIOT, and WSPD.

Out-of-this-world festivities to include:

  • Meet your favorite Star Wars characters: Princess Leia, Rebel Pilots, a Rebel Trooper, Jedi Knights, a Tusken Raider, Chewbacca, a Stormtrooper, and Darth Vader are all scheduled to appear
  • A prize packed costume contest for fans
  • Star Wars-themed food and beverage items
  • "Light sword" LED thundersticks giveaway to the first 2,000 fans through the gates (pictured below)
  • Postgame fireworks
  • Many more surprises!

 

Star Wars Character Photo Booth

Don't just meet your favorite Star Wars characters ... get your photo taken with them in our special edition Star Wars Photo Booth, presented by The Blade. The photo booth will be set up on the main concourse, behind home plate. Say cheese!

 
 

"Chewbacca jersey" raffle

Did you miss out on the nationally-recognized, Chewbacca-themed Mud Hens jersey from last year? Well, you're in luck! The Mud Hens will be raffling all remaining "Chewbacca jerseys" during the Saturday, May 10 Mud Hens game. Raffle tickets are $5 each and winners will be announced throughout the night, beginning in the fourth inning. Proceeds from the jersey raffle will benefit local charities.

 

Star Wars Character Dinner SOLD OUT!

Make plans to join some of your favorite Star Wars characters on May 10 for a special Star Wars-themed dinner outing. The special pregame dinner event will include an all-you-can-eat buffet and an exclusive opportunity to get your photo taken with some of your favorite Star Wars Characters! 

Bring your cameras for fun photo opportunities and wear your best Star Wars costumes for this exclusive pregame party. Dinner will include an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, several side dishes, cookies & assorted Pepsi products. Star Wars characters that may appear during the exclusive dinner event are Princess Leia, Jedi Knights, Tusken Raider, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader! Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Coop Party Deck. The Star Wars characters will appear from 6 to 7 p.m.
