ICYMI: Luis La O hit a two-run home run in the second and Wood Ducks' starter Richelson Pena worked through six solid frames Down East defeated the Mudcats 4-2 in front of a crowd of 5,004 on Friday night at Five County Stadium. The Mudcats scored the final two runs of the game between the fifth and sixth, but were just 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left five men on in the loss. Of the five stranded runners, two were left on between the seventh and eighth.
STARTING OFF: Conor Harber has tonight's series finale start versus the Wood Ducks at Five County Stadium and enters at 1-6 with a 6.10 ERA over 15 games and nine starts this season. Opponents are batting .263 against Harber this season and the righty has walked 45 while also totaling 45 strikeouts this season. He last pitched on 7/7 out of the bullpen in Winston-Salem where he took a loss after allowing three runs on four hits over two innings pitched. Harber's last start came on 7/2 against the Dash (4.1 IP, 3 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 6 BB, 5 SO) and was his first start since 5/27.
