BILLINGS, Montana - The Billings Mustangs (11-6) split a two-game series with the Helena Brewers (8-9) on Wednesday with a 10-3 win in front of 2,193 at Dehler Park.

Jhon De Jesus (1-1) made the start for Billings, throwing the first five innings of the game. He would give up two runs in the first and proceed to toss four scoreless frames to follow.

Chad McClanahan had an infield single to lead off the first for the Brewers. Dallas Carroll was hit by a pitch behind him to put two on with nobody out. Both would come in to score on the RBI single of Zach Clark, his second RBI in the first inning during this series.

The Mustangs erased a 2-0 deficit immediately with three runs in the bottom of the first. Morgan Lofstrom scored Andy Sugilio and Francis Azcona with his single and Montrell Marshall scored later on an error by shortstop Antonio Pinero. Pinero committed five errors in the game tying a season-high for Mustang opponents. Lofstrom has now collected five RBI in his last two games.

Billings would lead the rest of the way, adding four runs over the fourth through sixth innings. Zeke White hit his first homerun in the Cincinnati Reds system, a solo liner to opposite field in the sixth. White came over from the Marlins system as a part of the Dan Straily trade in January.

Sugilio paced the offense with a 3-for-5 performance including a double, two runs, and two RBI.

Montrell Marshall put the game away with a three-RBI double in the bottom of the eighth to move the lead to seven.

The Mustangs now embark on their second road trip of the year, a five-game trip that begins with two in Helena against the Brewers. First pitch on Thursday from Kindrick Legion Field is set for 7:05 p.m.
