Myrtle Beach unveils 2019 weekly promotions and fireworks nights

Along with an exciting array of promotions, 27 fireworks nights will grace TicketReturn.Com Field this season

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 5, 2019) - Prior to their 21st season on the Grand Strand, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are excited to welcome back some fan-favorite promotions and usher in new, exciting reasons to come out to Field at Pelicans Ballpark in 2019. Beginning today, and continuing over the next 10 days, the Pelicans will release some of their top-billed events of the season. The final release will coincide with the first Thirsty Thursday of the season and the Kick-Off Party on March 14.

To start things off, the Birds are excited to roll out a loaded weekly promotional schedule:

Monday: Half Off for Hunger Mondays with WPDE. Fans will once again receive half-price admission when they donate an item from the approved Backpack Buddies list.

Tuesday: $2 Tacos and Tallboys Tuesday returns courtesy of Abuelos Mexican Restaurant, Better Brands and NASH 106.5 FM. Every Tuesday, tacos and tallboys will be available for just two dollars each from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Wednesday: Buy one, get one free (BOGO) Hebrew National Hot Dogs are back every Wednesday courtesy of WPDE.

Thursday: Thirsty Thursday presented by Celebrations Nitelife, Axelrod & Associates and Gator 107.9 FM. with $1 12oz. Bud and Bud Light drafts, $2 16oz. cans and $2 glasses of Duplin Winery wine. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on every Thursday with drink specials running until 8:00 p.m.

Friday: $2 craft drafts return to the Fridays and are joined by a new promotion for 2019: Fish-Fry Friday. The Fish-Fry dinner plate will include a piece of fish, cole slaw and hush puppies. $2 craft drafts and the Fish Fry run until 8:00 p.m. Also returning to the Friday lineup is First Responders Friday courtesy of 707 Shooting Range, Allegiant Air, WMBF News and MIX 97.7. First responders receive half-price admission with an ID.

Saturday: Locals Appreciation Saturday and Embrace Veterans Saturday. On Saturdays, area fans receive $3 off of their game ticket by showing their local ID at the Anderson Brothers Bank Box Office. Local Appreciation Saturdays are presented by Food Lion, WMBF, The Sun News and NASH 106.5 FM. The night also features the Locals Dice Roll Extravaganza where each Saturday, one local fan will have a chance to win up to $25,000 courtesy of HTC and Sparks Toyota. Additionally, every Saturday home game is Embrace Veterans Saturday courtesy of Embrace Hospice.

Sunday: Family Sunday featuring free inflatables for kids 12 and under presented by Anderson Brothers Bank. Every night at Pelicans Ballpark is family friendly, but Sundays go above and beyond. Each Sunday game, fans of all ages are invited to play catch on the field pregame, and each Sunday will also feature a special kid-friendly theme.

Throughout the 2019 season, the Pelicans will light up the sky above TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark with 27 postgame fireworks extravaganzas brought to you by East Coast Pyrotechnics. Major dates include Opening Night, July 3, every Saturday and much more.

Other weekly staples include a pregame autograph session Monday through Saturday for fans of all ages courtesy of Allegiant Air, and every night, kids 12 and under can run the bases postgame.

Game times for the 2019 season are as follows:

All weekday games (Monday-Friday) will begin at 7:05 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays and 6:00 p.m. on all other weekdays. First pitch for all weekend games at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark are scheduled for 6:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:00 p.m.

Single-game tickets will be available on March 14 with the first Thirsty Thursday of the season as part of the Season Kick-Off Party. The event includes live music from Julio Navarro, $1.00 Bud and Bud Light drafts, $2.00 craft drafts, and 1/2 price Duplin Winery wines from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, and all fans are welcome to attend.
