The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan Moore to General Manager. Moore, previously the Vice President of Business Development, will oversee the day to day operations and sales efforts of the team. He brings 9 years of industry experience to the role. Andy Milovich, previously the team's President and General Manager, will continue in his role as Team President but will pass on the day to day responsibilities of General Manager to Moore.

"The success of the Pelicans and Greenberg Sports Group is dependent upon attracting great talent with a passion for sports entertainment and cultivating the industry's leaders. Ryan has demonstrated an understanding, passion and commitment to both the Pelicans and Myrtle Beach that has had a dramatic impact on our success," said Milovich. "He understands the role that sports play in developing the fabric of communities. He's been a major part of our Play It Forward community initiative both in the ballpark and throughout the Grand Strand. I'm looking forward to helping him with his personal and professional growth."

Moore, originally a Connecticut native, has spent the past 15 years living in the Southeast. He first joined the Pelicans organization in 2008 as a ticket sales representative. From there he went on to work for the Gwinnett Braves, the Atlanta Braves Triple-A affiliate, where he oversaw their ticket sales efforts. Before returning to Myrtle Beach in 2014 he served as the General Manager of the Jupiter Hammerheads, the Miami Marlins Class A-Advanced affiliate, as well as the Assistant General Manager of Roger Dean Stadium, the Spring Training location for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins.

"I'm extremely honored and humbled for this opportunity," said Moore. "I truly appreciate the trust that Andy and our owner, Chuck Greenberg, have placed in me with this appointment. The Pelicans are a staple within the Grand Strand community and a leader within the Minor League Baseball industry. I'm thrilled to be the next in a long line of successful leaders here at the Pelicans and look forward to insuring that TicketReturn.Com Field remains the destination for affordable, family fun."

Upon his return to Myrtle Beach Moore became involved with Habitat for Humanity and currently serves on their board. He is also an alum of Leadership Grand Strand 37. A 2006 graduate of Elon University, Moore earned a degree in Sports Management. During his time at Elon, he completed internships with the Greensboro Coliseum and Elon University's Athletic Department. Moore resides in Myrtle Beach with his wife Alexandra, son Austin, and their two dogs, Cooper and Charlie.

Other staff changes include the addition of Ankit Agrawal, Robert Buchanan, and Tradd Jones. The 2017 season was the first for both Agrawal and Buchanan and the second for Jones. The trio previously served as interns and will now join the staff in a full time capacity. Agrawal will serve as the Business Intelligence Analyst, Buchanan as a Corporate Sales Representative, and Jones as the Sports Turf Manager.

"These additions reinforce the strong commitment that the Greenberg Sports Group has to investing in the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and our industry," said Milovich. "In addition to the great young talents in Robert and Tradd, creating a full-time Analytics/Intelligence role allows us to build on our success by utilizing data to better capitalize on the nuances of a tourism based market. The ability to create opportunities from within reinforces everything we believe in with respect to identifying top talent and developing them to grow our franchise."
