Eight batters came to the plate for Nashville in the bottom of the first inning. Carlos Tocci led off with a double and would be hit in on an Andy Ibáñez single. A run was scored by the Bees in the top of the fifth inning. With two outs and the bases loaded, Taylor Ward walked to score Jarrett Parker and cut the Nashville lead 2-1. That would be it for Nashville starter Wes Benjamin to make him the pitcher of record, going 5.0 innings and allowed that one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five batters.

Nashville scored another run in the bottom of the sixth. Franklin Rollin reached on an infield single and subsequently stole second base. Tocci dropped a single into left field that scored Rollin to make it 5-1, Sounds.
