NATURALS ANNOUNCE 2017 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE
SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are excited to announce the release of our entire 2017 Texas League regular season schedule and subsequent home games. In addition, season tickets for Season 10 are now available to the public.
Season 10 of Naturals Baseball will officially begin against the San Antonio Missions (Double-A San Diego Padres) on Thursday, April 6, 2017 for Opening Day at Arvest Ballpark. The opening 6-game homestand will feature games against a couple of members of the Texas League South Division with the opening three (3) games against the aforementioned Missions before welcoming the Corpus Christi Hooks (Double-A Houston Astros) for the final three (3) games of the opening homestand.
The schedule will once again feature 70 home games at Arvest Ballpark with the entire season consisting of 140 games. The 2017 regular season schedule will begin on Thursday, April 6, 2017 and end on Monday, September 4, 2017. Like this year, Northwest Arkansas will begin the year at home but unlike this year the team will finish on the road with their last home game scheduled for Monday, August 28, 2017 against the Arkansas Travelers (Double-A Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim).
Arvest Ballpark will once again be a place to enjoy some of the summer holidays as the Naturals will host home games on Mother's Day (Sunday, May 14), Memorial Day weekend (Friday, May 26 - Sunday, May 28), and Independence Day (Tuesday, July 4). The 2017 season will mark the second consecutive year that the team will host a home game on the Fourth of July.
Other special days of note during the 2017 regular season would be our annual SWEPCO School Kids Days that will begin at 11:05 a.m., which include Wednesday, April 26, Tuesday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 24. The Naturals will also host their annual Matinee Baseball at Arvest Ballpark featuring Summer Camp Day on Tuesday, June 13 with first pitch set for 12:05 p.m.
The Naturals will unveil a great deal of plans to celebrate our 10th season at Arvest Ballpark later this fall and into spring of next year, as well as unveil our game times prior to the end of the 2016 calendar year.
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals have a 2017 magnet schedule giveaway planned for Sunday, September 4 for the first 2000 fans in attendance. 2017 pocket schedules will also be available for fans at our Administrative Offices and a printable PDF copy of the 2017 regular season schedule will be available online at our official website, www.nwanaturals.com, in the coming days
