Naturals Announce All-Star Giveaway and Firework Schedule
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to release details pertaining to the weekend promotional schedule for the 2013 season, the All-Star season of baseball at Arvest Ballpark. Our 2013 calendar includes some of the best giveaways, 15 spectacular fireworks shows and custom All-Star giveaways.
"With our promotional schedule release, the All-Star season is nearly here!" said Eric Edelstein, Naturals General Manager. "With a terrific complement of fan favorites and new one of a kind events, 2013 will be the best season yet at Arvest Ballpark."
Some of the most popular games of the season will include fireworks. The slate of fireworks displays includes Opening Day, all 11 Friday home dates, and also Saturday, June 8, the All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 25, and Saturday, August 24. The Naturals also plan to bring back the popular "Faith and Family Night" promotion on both Friday, May 3 and Friday, August 16, each presented by Sam's Furniture and media partner KLRC. The bands for those concerts will be announced at a later date.
The Naturals will also hold three silent auctions for special jerseys in 2013. Friday, August 2 will again be "Pink in the Park" night for Komen for the Cure, Saturday, May 4 will be Ozark Guidance Teal in the Park for mental health awareness, as well as the Naturals' annual scout night sleepover night. Grand Lake Casino will sponsor a third set of special jerseys All-Star Night on Friday, June 14. The jerseys will be auctioned off during each game for charity.
Most Saturday home games, as always, will feature giveaways sponsored by our corporate partners and this year's slate of giveaways are sure to make every fan feel like an All-Star. The highlights include two bobbleheads that are sure to be popular – former Natural and current Royal Salvador Perez in a Naturals' uniform (Saturday, May 4) presented by the Arkansas Army National Guard, and the man that is near and dear to every Naturals fan, manager, Brian Poldberg (Saturday, June 15) will be replicated and given away as the Naturals first ever bobble-mustache, presented by Cox Communications. OC Sports will sponsor an All-Star Cap Giveaway on April 20, Tyson Foods will sponsor a Sinker Piggy Bank (Saturday, May 18), while Western Federal Credit Union presents "The Catch" figurine (Saturday, June 29). The figurine will depict the awe inspiring catch Naturals outfielder Nick Van Stratten made on April 7, 2011, robbing a home run over the left field fence. "The Catch" was featured on ESPN's Top Plays.
Fans will receive a Billy Butler All-Star jersey t-shirt presented by Casey's General Store (Saturday, June 1), and kids will walk away with a Naturals vintage tin lunch box presented by CCF Brands (Saturday, August 3). The final Saturday giveaway of the 2013 All-Star Season Naturals will allow Naturals fans to take home a piece of baseball history with a replica Naturals Hall of Fame Plaque (Saturday, August 17). The Naturals will be inducting the first player into our Hall of Fame with the first 2,000 fans receiving a smaller version of the plaque that will become a new part of the fan experience at Arvest Ballpark.
The All-Star season brings new entertainment acts to Arvest Ballpark including a pre-game midget wrestling show on Saturday, July 13. The night will not only feature this one of a kind wrestling experience but fans will also receive Strike the Sasquatch growth charts presented by Just-Us Printers.
Some great new events include the inaugural Big Country Bash (Saturday, July 20), the night will be highlighted by a pre-game concert from a To Be Determined up-and-coming Country Music Artist provided by Kix 104. The promotional calendar also includes visits from the Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Friday, April 5) and other Nickelodeon characters Dora the Explorer (Sunday, July 21) and SpongeBob SquarePants (Sunday, May 19 and Sunday, August 25).
The Naturals will also hold three SWEPCO School Kids Day games, on Wednesday, May 1, Tuesday, May 7, and Monday, May 20 (all at 11 AM), and also have a summertime weekday matinee game presented by Arkansas Children's Hospital planned for Wednesday, June 12 at noon. The popular "Bark in the Ballpark", where fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark has been expanded to two games and will be on Sunday, May 5 and again on Sunday, August 25.
