Naturals Introduce Benjamin Kelly as new "Voice of the Naturals"

92.1 The Ticket (KQSM-FM) will once again serve as the flagship station for Naturals Baseball
February 13, 2014

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals announced the hiring of Benjamin Kelly today as the new "Voice of the Naturals". Kelly, taking over for Steven Davis this year, will become the second radio broadcaster in franchise history.

"We are very excited to have Benjamin join our front office in Northwest Arkansas to bring the excitement of Naturals baseball to our fans," said Justin, General Manager of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. "Benjamin is a very talented announcer with a powerful voice, and I'm positive our fans will appreciate the passion he has for our team and for the game of baseball."

Kelly joins the Naturals staff in his first season as the "Voice of the Naturals" after spending the past summer as the number 2 broadcaster for the 2013 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers of the Independent League.

Benjamin was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to LaGrange, Indiana in 2006. He graduated from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana with a degree in Broadcasting and a minor in Spanish in April of 2013. During his college career, he has broadcast over 200 games including volleyball, basketball, soccer, and football.

Fans will be able to hear Kelly's broadcast of all 140 Northwest Arkansas Naturals' games during the upcoming 2014 season. Games will be heard primarily on 92.1 The Ticket (KQSM-FM) or at times on KFAY 1030-AM when there is a conflict with a University of Arkansas game and/or event.

Former Naturals' broadcaster Steven Davis has relocated with his family to Kansas City and is currently the play-by-play announcer for UMKC basketball and will announce KU baseball on television this spring for the Jayhawks.

The Seventh Season of Naturals Baseball begins Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Frisco, TX. The team opens at Arvest Ballpark on Thursday April 10, 2014 against the same Frisco RoughRiders.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. The Naturals play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, AR.
