SAN ANTONIO - The Naturals dropped the rubber match of the three-game series on Monday afternoon at Nelson Wolff Stadium by a final of 2-0 to the San Antonio Missions. Northwest Arkansas finished the six-game road trip with a 2-4 mark.
Right-hander, Corey Ray (5-6, 4.19) worked 6.0 innings against the Missions despite being saddled with the loss. The right-hander, allowed two runs - only one charged as earned - on four hits with five strike outs. The quality start marked the first since Ray pitched 6.0 innings of two-run baseball against Tulsa on June 23.

Northwest Arkansas (48-40/9-9) pursued the clutch hit all game; but never found it. The Naturals stranded 12 runners on base and hit just 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and had a man in scoring position in seven of the nine offensive frames.
Jack Lopez finished 2-for-4 on the game with a double and a walk while Anderson Miller extended his hitting streak to six games with a single in the fourth inning. Donnie Dewees reached base three times in the Monday matinee including his 17 double of the season. He walked twice in the contest.
The Naturals will enjoy an off-day on Tuesday, July 11 before recommencing at Arvest Ballpark with a four-game series against the Tulsa Drillers (Los Angeles Dodgers) on Wednesday, July 12 for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.
Left-hander, Foster Griffin (6-1, 2.47) will make his first appearance since tossing two-thirds of a perfect inning in the Sirius/XM Futures Game on Sunday, July 9 as he gets the ball in the series opener on Wednesday. The rest of the rotation is to be announced.
