RICHMOND, VA - Riley Adams' two-out, two-RBI single in the top of the ninth spurred Gatos Feroces de New Hampshire (Blue Jays) to a 4-2 win over Ardillas Voladoras de Richmond (Giants) Friday night at The Diamond.

Adams came through at the perfect moment. With the bases loaded thanks to a walk, a double and an intentional free pass, the former University of San Diego star lined a base hit to right field to bring home a pair and give New Hampshire its first lead of the night.
Vinny Nittoli (S, 1) worked around a one-out single in the bottom of the inning to secure the win.
Richmond started the scoring in the second stanza. Gio Brusa homered to begin the inning, providing the Ardillas with a 1-0 advantage.
A Gatos home run tied the game in the fifth. Santiago Espinal belted his fourth of the season to make it 1-1, but the Giants affiliate responded with a run in the bottom of the frame to retake a one-run lead.
Trailing 2-1 to start the seventh, Gatos Feroces rallied to pull even once again. An error allowed Vinny Capra to reach and he dashed to second on a wild pitch. Nash Knight came through with a two-out single to plate Capra and tie the game 2-2.
Zach Logue got the start for the 'Cats and went five innings, allowed two runs on four hits, walked three and struck out five. Jon Harris (W, 1-0) tossed three shutout innings to earn the win.
The Fisher Cats return to action against Richmond Saturday night. RHP Nate Pearson (0-1, 2.92 ERA) gets the nod for New Hampshire and will be opposed by RHP Brandon Beachy (1-2, 3.20 ERA).
