Binghamton, NY - Four New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets) on Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium.

Yennsy Diaz, William Ouellette, Corey Copping and Dany Jimenez worked in the game for the Fisher Cats. Diaz (W, 9-8) went the first five innings and stranded a pair of runners in the fourth and fifth. Ouellette retired all six batters he faced and struck out three. Copping worked the eighth inning before Jimenez closed out the game for his fourth save.
The only run of the night crossed in the top of the fourth inning. Chad Spanberger walked and Kevin Smith followed with a single. A single by Christian Williams plated Spanberger. Williams finished 2-for-4 with a pair of base hits. Cullen Large also had two hits in the win for the Fisher Cats (22-32/53-68).
David Peterson (L, 3-5) took the loss for the 'Ponies. He allowed five hits in his 5.2 innings, walked three and struck out three.
The series concludes Thursday night in Binghamton. RHP Nate Pearson is scheduled to start for New Hampshire. Coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. with the Fisher Cats Pregame Show and continues with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.
