Manchester, N.H. - No Fisher Cats season is complete without Star Wars Night, which comes soaring in to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on Saturday, July 27.
Fans can purchase tickets now at NHFisherCats.com, over the phone at (603) 641-2005 or in person at One Line Drive in Manchester.
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) will take on the Reading Fightin Phils (Philadelphia Phillies) on a night featuring X-Wing jerseys, Star Wars music, characters, games, movie clips, and an intergalactic Atlas Fireworks show. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
"Our fans love our theme nights, whether it's Harry Potter, Comic-Con, Margaritaville -- you name it. But Star Wars Night has really become the premier event of each season," said Fisher Cats General Manager Jim Flavin. "There's nothing like seeing our stadium lit up with lightsabers and fireworks on a summer night, and this year's new jerseys will only add to the experience."
The custom uniforms include the iconic X-Wing starfighter piloted by Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy and by Poe Dameron in the new Star Wars movies.
The back and sleeves of the jerseys display the emblem of the Rebel Alliance, the revolutionary faction dedicated to overthrowing the Galactic Empire. In layman's terms: the good guys.
