Manchester, NH - Logan Warmoth  and Chad Spanberger  each knocked in runs for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate), but the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) pulled away late for a 5-2 win on Sunday afternoon at Delta Dental Stadium.
Warmoth, the 22nd overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft, went 3-for-9 with 2 RBIs in the series. 
Trenton's Mandy Alvarez homered in the second and broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth with an RBI double to lead the Thunder (3-2) to a series victory. Brady Lail (W, 2-1) worked 2.2 scoreless inning in relief to earn the win.
The Fisher Cats put two men on in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs, but closer Brooks Kriske (S, 6) induced a flyout to end the ballgame. 
Trenton took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second. Alvarez led off the inning with his fourth home run of the season. Brandon Wagner doubled and scored on a single by Matt Lipka.
The Fisher Cats drew even in the bottom half with a pair of runs. Nash Knight  and Riley Adams  were each hit by a pitch and Alberto Mineo  singled to load the bases. An RBI single by Warmoth was followed by a sacrifice fly from Spanberger to make it 2-2.
Trenton pushed across three runs in the top of the eighth inning to earn the win. Ben Ruta walked and Chris Gittens reached on an infield single. After an RBI double by Alvarez, Wagner knocked in two with single to put the Thunder up 5-2. Danny Young  (L, 0-1) took the loss for New Hampshire (1-4).

The Fisher Cats open an 11-game road trip in Portland on Monday night. Zach Logue  starts for the Fisher Cats against Portland's Matt Kent. New Hampshire returns to Delta Dental Stadium on July 4 to play the Sea Dogs. For tickets and information, visit nhfishercats.com.
