SUMMARY-GAME 1

The Harrisburg Senators rallied from 4-1 and 5-4 deficits to beat Akron 6-5 in 11 innings Sunday in the resumption of the game suspended Saturday night. Akron had a 4-1 lead into the last of the seventh inning when Harrisburg scored two, then another in the eighth to tie the game. Both teams scored in the 10th before the Sens scored in the 11th to win the game, after keeping Akron off the board in the top of the 11th.

SUMMARY-GAME 2

Akron tallied four runs and cruised to a 5-1 win over the Senators in the second game Sunday afternoon. With the win, the RubberDucks took the series four games to two and snapped the Sens two-game winning streak.

ON CAPITAL HILL-GAME ONE

Six different Sens hurlers appeared in game one. Carson Teel started Saturday night and tossed an inning before the game was delayed and eventually suspended. Javy Guerra started the resumption of the game Sunday and was followed by Ike Slabach and Reid Schaller, with all three making their first Senators appearances. Pearson McMahan tossed 2.1 innings followed by Aaron Barrett. Barrett tossed two innings and kept the placed runner from scoring in the 11th allowing the Senators to walk off with the win.

ON CAPITAL HILL-GAME TWO

Cade Cavalli started and allowed four runs in the first and another in third before being pulled in the game. Bryan Dobzanski followed and pitched 2.2 scoreless frames. Malvin Pena went two scoreless innings including retiring the final four batters he faced.

WITH THE GAVEL-GAME ONE

Aldrem Corredor had two hits including double.

Jake Alu had two hits, scored a run, and drove in two. He tripled in the tying run in the 10th inning. He also extended his hitting streak to 11 games.

Gilbert Lara had two hits, a double, and scored twice.

Rhett Wiseman drove in the game winner with a bases loaded sacrifice fly in the 11th.

WITH THE GAVEL-GAME TWO

Jackson Cluff had two hits, one a double, and scored a run.

Gilbert Lara drove in the lone Sens run with a single.

Jake Alu singled in the seventh inning to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.

FILIBUSTERS

The Senators had 18 hits in the two games to raise their team batting average to .217, their highest this season. The win in game one was the second walk-off win for the Senators this season. Harrisburg and Akron play again in a month at Canal Park in Akron.
