Chukars duo picks up unorthodox no-hitter
Rain halted the game after five innings and an earned run crossed the plate, but the Chukars duo didn't allow any hits in a 6-1 victory over Casper.
Leonard (3-2) allowed the run on four walks while striking out four. He retired nine of the first 10 batters he faced before walking the bases loaded in the fourth. Beau Seabury followed with an RBI groundout, but Leonard fanned Orlando Sandoval to end the threat.
Swaggerty struck out the side in the fifth before the game was called.
Clint Robinson clubbed a three-run homer, his eighth, in the first and Anthony Seratelli ripped an RBI triple in the third for the Chukars (5-0).
Warren Schaeffer scored the lone run for the Rockies (1-4).
Casper starter Parker Frazier (1-2) gave up six runs -- four earned -- on six hits and four walks while striking out two in three innings. --Denis Gorman/MLB.com
