Gibson rediscovering form in desert

Kyle Gibson, the Twins' No. 16 prospect fanned eight and allowed a run on six hits to improve to 2-0 as the Javelinas held on for their third straight win. Gibson missed most of the regular season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last September. Nick Franklin, MLB.com's No. 29 overall prospect, collected three hits and drove in a pair of runs and Donald Lutz (Reds) posted his fourth multi-hit outing in five games for Peoria.
