Asbury Park Press Dollar Weekend Returns in 2013

Thanks to Asbury Park Press, one-dollar tickets April 5-7
February 18, 2013

LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws, the Asbury Park Press, and APP.com have again partnered on Asbury Park Press Dollar Weekend in 2013. All reserve and general admission BlueClaws tickets will be just $1 at the April 5th, 6th, and 7th BlueClaws games thanks to the Asbury Park Press and APP.com.

The promotion originated as a way for the BlueClaws and the Asbury Park Press to give back to area families, and because of the success of the program, the APP offered to bring it back in 2013.

"Baseball is a great game that can be enjoyed by the entire family," said Tom Donovan, President and Publisher of the Asbury Park Press. "We are very pleased to be able to offer Dollar Ticket Weekend with the BlueClaws. I encourage everyone to come out to the ballpark, relax and enjoy the great atmosphere at a BlueClaws baseball game."

Tickets: Individual game tickets, including those for Asbury Park Press Dollar Weekend, are available by calling 732-901-7000 or online by clicking here.

On Friday, April 5th, the BlueClaws will have the first fireworks show of 2013, thanks to Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood. First pitch is at 7:05.

On Saturday, April 6th, the BlueClaws will celebrate Buster's Birthday with many of his mascot friends. In addition, the first 2,000 fans of all ages will receive a BlueClaws Scarf thanks to TD Bank. First pitch is at 4:05.

Dollar Weekend concludes on Sunday, April 7th at 1:05. The first 2,000 fans receive a BlueClaws Schedule Cup thanks to Waterside Gardens Apartments. It's also the first Kids Eat Free game of the year, with all kids receiving a free hot dog, bag of chips, and a soda thanks to ShopRite.

As a special twist to this year's Dollar Weekend, BlueClaws players and coaches will be wearing unique Restore The Shore jerseys. These jerseys each have the name of one local town impacted by Hurricane Sandy. They will be auctioned off via a silent auction over the course of Opening Weekend with proceeds benefiting BlueClaws Charities relief efforts. Bidding will close on these jerseys at the April 7th game.

"The BlueClaws have proven to be a great outlet for affordable entertainment here at the Jersey Shore," said BlueClaws General Manager Brandon Marano. "We appreciate the support of the Asbury Park Press and APP.com for enabling us to continue with this great weekend."
