VIP Food/Drink Option for CHC

Includes all-you-can-eat food stations from the field during June 17th event

LAKEWOOD, NJ - BlueClaws fans at FirstEnergy Park are routinely "close" to the action, but at the June 17th Celebrity Hitting Challenge, they have a chance to be "on top of" the action, literally.

Special VIP tickets are available for the event, which takes place as part of the ClawStar Spectacular, presented by Kimball and Community Medical Centers, OceanFirst Bank, and Shore Point Distributing Company. In addition to the Celebrity Hitting Challenge, the ClawStar Spectacular includes the June 18th South Atlantic League All-Star Game, in Lakewood for the first time since 2002.

This special Celebrity Hitting Challenge VIP area is located on the infield and includes all-you-can-eat food stations plus open bar. As shown in the corresponding photo, there will be a protective net stretching around the front of the infield dirt.

"We're very excited to be able to offer this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to our fans," said BlueClaws General Manager Brandon Marano. "A party on the infield during a special hitting contest is something that fans might only get one chance to attend. It's going to be a truly special event and we're very much looking forward to June 17th."

As part of the event, two teams of celebrities will take part in a hitting contest, earning points for hitting various targets. Among those are a series of beach-themed targets in the outfield, including lifeguard chairs, torps, a family beach set-up, and a boat. There will also be surfboards and oversized boardwalk tokens along the netting. Full scoring details will be announced at a later date.
