Heroes, Villains, and a Century of Big Fun

Heroes, Villains, and a Century of Big Fun
March 7, 2014

When Lee Greenwood sang, "I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free," that's what "Salute to Heroes" night on July 4th is all about. We're saying a big "thank you" to our military, police, firefighters, EMS, and all those who serve our country and community. Join us for not just a baseball game and to celebrate our nation's independence, but a community night of saluting those who work tirelessly to keep us safe, healthy, and out of harm's way both here in Indiana and across the world.

Have you ever dropped an anvil on anyone? Ever bought any TNT from Acme? We didn't think so! But we do know some folks who have, and we're showcasing them during our "Tribute to Cartoon Villains" on July 11th. Prepare to flex your muscles for the video board like Gaston from "Beauty and the Beast", ready your best maniacal laugh, and make sure to be ready to share your plan for world domination like the duo from "Pinky and The Brain". We'll see you then…or will we? Mwahahahaha.

Ah, the 1900's had it's ups - the automobile, the color TV, the Internet-and its downs - World Wars I and II, Three Mile Island, and the popularity of bleached denim clothing - and we'll be celebrating them all from Scott Joplin to Janis Joplin on "20th Century Rewind Night" on July 25th. With each inning representing a decade, be prepared to add the words "humdinger" and "nifty" back into your vocabulary, because this game's going to be the "bee's knees", "dude!" We'll be extra wary of extra innings, because if the 90's become 2000, all of our computers might stop working!
