Dragons Single-Game Ticket Sales begin March 18

Facebook Fans Eligible for Pre-Sale Option Starting March 11

DAYTON, OH - Dayton Dragons 2015 single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Dragons Box Office located next to the main entry gates at Fifth Third Field, on-line at daytondragons.com, and at any Ticketmaster outlet. 

Opening Day for the Dragons is set for Sunday, April 12 at 4:00 p.m. against the South Bend Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate). The Dragons are scheduled to play 70 home games during the regular season. They will officially begin their 16th season of Midwest League baseball with a three-game road series beginning April 9 at the West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit Tigers).

The box office will be open throughout the season from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On weekend game dates, the box office will open at 12:00 noon and close in the seventh inning. The box office will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays when the team is on the road. NOTE: The box office will be open on Saturday, April 11 (day before Opening Day) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Fans who like the Dragons on Facebook will be eligible for a special pre-sale of 2015 single-game tickets starting March 11. A Facebook post will provide details on that date.

TICKET-BUYING CONVENIENCE

Single-game tickets can be purchased:

  • In person, at the Dragons box office, any Miami Valley Kroger store, or any Ticketmaster outlet.
  • Online, at daytondragons.com.
  • By phone by calling the Dragons Box office at (937) 228-2287; or Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at (937) 228-2323.

There is never a convenience charge for tickets purchased at the Dragons box office. There is also no convenience charge for tickets purchased from the Dragons by phone at (937) 228-2287 (a shipping charge is added for tickets that are mailed).

FRIENDS AND FAMILY NIGHT OPTION RETURNS

The Dragons Friends & Family program is back for its 13th season. Fans have the option of purchasing stadium seat tickets or lawn tickets as part of the package. On select Friends & Family game nights, fans can get a Dragons game ticket, Dragons cap, and meal voucher for just $16.00 for a stadium seat ticket or $11.00 for a lawn seat. Friends and Family game dates are Friday, April 17; Saturday, April 25; Saturday, May 9; Friday, May 29; Monday, June 15; Tuesday, July 21; and Thursday, August 13. Friends and Family tickets will also be available starting March 18th at the Dragons Box Office and online at www.daytondragons.com.

Famous Chicken, ZOOperstars Headline 10 Nights of National Entertainers

National entertainment acts have been booked to perform at 10 Dragons games this season at Fifth Third Field. The 10 national entertainment dates marks an increase from four dates in 2014. The special entertainment schedule includes the return of the Famous San Diego Chicken, the always popular ZOOperstars, and the incredible act, Quick Change. The schedule also includes the first appearance at Fifth Third Field by the Jesse White Tumblers, Bucket Ruckus, and the Xpogo Stunt Team, and multiple appearances by Team Zoom Canine Entertainment.

The Famous San Diego Chicken will make his return to Fifth Third Field on July 23. The greatest success story in the history of sports mascot entertainment, the Chicken has been performing nationally since 1974. The Chicken was listed by the Sporting News as one of the 100 Most Powerful People in Sports in the 20th Century, joining names like Babe Ruth, Muhammad Ali, and Michael Jordan. He has performed in nine countries and all 50 states in the U.S. His antics once brought an Elvis Presley concert to a halt when Presley doubled over in laughter and stopped singing after seeing the Chicken's escapades in the aisles of the arena. 

The Xpogo Stunt Team is the top pogo performance team in the world, flying nine feet in the air and engaging the crowd with flips and tricks. They will make their first visit to Fifth Third Field on May 8.

The Jesse White Tumblers are known worldwide and have been performing since 1959. Their acrobatic show has been part of two Presidential Parades and has been seen in numerous NFL, NBA, and MLB stadiums. They will perform at Fifth Third Field for the first time on June 19.

The ZOOperstars have become a fan favorite at Fifth Third Field based on past performances. These hilarious inflatable characters are based on sports figures with an animal resemblance, such as Clammy Sosa, Cow Ripken, and Ken Giraffey, Jr. The ZOOperstars will perform on June 20.

Bucket Ruckus will also make their first appearance at Fifth Third Field. This high-energy percussionist group will lead cheers, interact with fans, and entertain the crowd with their unique brand of family fun. They will be at Fifth Third Field on July 8.

Quick Change will return to Fifth Third Field on August 1. This amazing act featuring David and Dania has been seen on The Oprah Winfrey Show, David Letterman, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, and America's Got Talent. They are known for their incredible costume changes in a fraction of a second, sure to leave Dragons fans asking, "How did they do that?"

The Team Zoom Canine Entertainment group is already a fan favorite at Fifth Third Field. These unbelievably athletic dogs will perform death-defying leaps and unique tricks at incredible speeds. They will perform four times this season at Fifth Third Field, entertaining Dragons fans on May 31, June 11, July 12, and August 27.

Additionally, the City of Dayton's annual Independence Day holiday fireworks display is set for Thursday, July 2 at 10:00 p.m. at Riverscape MetroPark, 111 E. Monument Avenue (adjacent to Fifth Third Field). Fans are invited to join the fireworks celebration after that night's Dragons game.

Group ticket opportunities are also available through the Dragons, including luxury suites, party decks, seating in the Dragons Lair, on the third base side, and on the Lawn at Fifth Third Field. Special benefits are available for groups of 10 to 1,000 fans.
