Chiefs congratulate former "Voice of the Chiefs" Jason Benetti
The Syracuse Chiefs would like to congratulate former "Voice of the Chiefs" Jason Benetti on his new assignment as TV play-by-play broadcaster for the Chicago White Sox. Benetti worked for parts of eight seasons before moving on to work with ESPN and Westwood One Sports, among others. 2016 will mark his first year as a major-league broadcaster.
Benetti served as "Voice of the Chiefs" from 2010 to 2014. He worked as the team's #2 broadcaster in 2009 and called a partial schedule of games in 2005 and 2006.
"I couldn't be any more thrilled for Jason if I tried," said current Voice of the Chiefs Kevin Brown, "and believe me, I've tried. I learned everything I know in a broadcast booth - and a sizeable chunk of what I know outside of a broadcast booth - from my time working with him in Syracuse. The White Sox, simply, have made a perfect hire."

The current Chiefs broadcast team, Brown and Eric Gallanty, will begin their second season together when Syracuse opens with Lehigh Valley on Thursday, April 7th on The Score 1260. All 144 Chiefs games can be heard on 1260 AM this season.
