Tribute to Roberto Clemente highlights final regular-season Curve homestand

While Curve Aim to Secure Playoff Spot, PNG Field will play host to Pro Wrestling Night, Day in the Arts and "Pitch" premiere

CURVE, Pa. - The division-leading Altoona Curve begin their final homestand of the regular season tonight with the first of a four-game series against the Erie SeaWolves. The team's stay in "Curve, PA" is packed with action on and off the field with a very special Tribute To Roberto Clemente Night on Friday, the first-ever Pro Wrestling Night at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Saturday, and the fourth annual Day in the Arts on Sunday. In addition, fans have more opportunity to take advantage of daily deals such as Throwback Thursday, MEGA Monday, 2 For Tuesday and Student Rush/50-cent Wing/Four-Pack Wednesday.

Thursday, August 25 vs. Erie SeaWolves | 7 p.m.

  • Fireworks:  Fans can stick around after the game and premiere of Fox TV's "Pitch" for a spectacular fireworks show.
  • Throwback Thursday: Join us every Thursday as we wind back the clock to celebrate the Curve's inaugural season. Players will wear 1999-style jerseys and caps, and fans can take advantage of $1 Juniata brand hot dogs by Kunzler, $2 Miller Lite 16 oz. drafts and 22 oz. sodas, plus Steamer will be in the house!
  • Pitch Screening: Following the first game of the homestand, the Curve will be showing a special premiere of the new Fox show, Pitch, on the video board.

Friday, August 26 vs. Erie SeaWolves | 7 p.m.

  • Tribute to Roberto Clemente Night: It will be one of the most special evenings in Curve history, as the Clemente family has helped the Curve put together an all-encompassing night to honor Clemente and the Pirates. The Curve will be donning 1971 Pirates-style uniforms that will be auctioned off for the Roberto's Kids charity, and there will be special appearances by the Pirate Parrot, Pierogies and Bucco Brigade and by Pirates' legend Manny Sanguillen.
  • Roberto Clemente Bust Givaway: As part of our night honoring Roberto Clemente, the first 1,500 fans to the ballpark will receive a special Roberto Clemente Bust, presented by Nuts For You. Miracle League Ball Launch: After each weekend home game, fans can participate in our ball launch game to win prizes from DQ, Panera Bread and the Curve with proceeds going to the Miracle League of Blair County.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under may run the bases after every weekend home game in Curve, Pa.!

Saturday, August 27 vs. Erie SeaWolves | 6 p.m.

  • Fireworks: What better way to bring a Saturday to an end than with a spectacular fireworks show up in the Curve, Pa. skies? The show is presented thanks to The Good Funeral Home.
  • Pro Wrestling Night: It is going to get crazy, brother! For the first time ever, the Curve will be hosting a Pro Wrestling Night, featuring an appearance from WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. There will also be a post-game wrestling match on the field.
  • Griffith Family Foundation Auction: Sports and entertainment memorabilia will be auctioned off to raise funds and awareness to Sideline Cancer in memory of Greg Griffith.
  • Miracle League Ball Launch: After each weekend home game, fans can participate in our ball launch game to win prizes from DQ, Panera Bread and the Curve with proceeds going to the Miracle League of Blair County.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under may run the bases after every weekend home game in Curve, Pa.!
  • FREE Ritchey's Dairy Kids' Club Game: Kids 12-and-under who are members of the Ritchey's Diary Kids Club will receive free entrance to Saturday's game. The Ritchey's Dairy Kids' Club is a great opportunity for young Curve fans, and it's FREE. Just by signing up, your youngster will get free admission to Kids' Club games, along with other exclusive benefits for being a member.

Sunday, August 28 vs. Erie SeaWolves | 6 p.m.

  • FIREWORKS: The weekend concludes with a spectacular post-game fireworks show following the season finale between the Curve and SeaWolves.
  • Day In The Arts:  Fans can enjoy the cultural offerings and activities on the main concourse starting at 3:30 and then enjoy the Altoona Symphony Orchestra's pre-game concert starting at 4:45. Miracle League Ball Launch: After each weekend home game, fans can participate in our ball launch game to win prizes from DQ, Panera Bread and the Curve with proceeds going to the Miracle League of Blair County.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under may run the bases after every weekend home game in Curve, Pa.!
  • On Field Catch for Fans:  All fans can enjoy playing catch on the outfield grass from 5:00-5:25 thanks to PA Cyber School

Monday, August 29 vs. Binghamton Mets | 6 p.m.

  • MEGA Monday: The Altoona Mirror brings Curve fans great deals with $1 bleacher seats, $6 meatball subs. Be sure to take advantage of the final MEGA Monday of the year!

Tuesday, August 30 vs. Binghamton Mets | 6 p.m.

  • 2 For Tuesday: Fans can take advantage of 2 for 1 tickets, hot dogs and small popcorn every Tuesday in 2016, presented by Atlantic Broadband.
  • Welcome Home Vietnam Vets: The Curve will host a welcome home for the Vietnam Veterans that were not received properly after their service overseas. We will honor those who fought along with those who never made it home.

Wednesday, August 31 vs. Binghamton Mets | 6 p.m.

  • 4-Pack Wednesday: Curve fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular size sodas for as low as $45.
  • M&T Bank Card Wednesday: M&T Bank customers can present their bank card at the PNG Field box office to save $2 off your ticket to Wednesday's matchup against Erie, presented by M&T Bank.
  • Student Rush Wednesday: Every Wednesday in 2016, anyone who brings a current student ID will receive $2 bleacher seats!
  • Envision Laser Center Lasik Giveaway: Envision Laser Center will be awarding their free Lasik procedure to a lucky fan in a unique way.
  • Wing Wednesday: 50-cent boneless wings are available at Stand 3 on the third base/left field side of the lower concourse.

Thursday, September 1 vs. Binghamton Mets | 6 p.m.

  • DOUBLE FIREWORKS with Loco Prelude: It is the final home regular season game of the season, and we will end the evening with a double fireworks show that features a lead-in by Loco and his band of mascots!
  • Throwback Thursday: Join us every Thursday as we wind back the clock to celebrate the Curve's inaugural season. Players will wear 1999-style jerseys and caps, and fans can take advantage of $1 Juniata brand hot dogs by Kunzler, $2 Miller Lite 16 oz. drafts and 22 oz. sodas, plus Steamer will be in the house!
  • #TBT Jersey Auction: The team has worn these jerseys all year, and following Thursday's game, you can bid to win one, with proceeds going to the Children's Miracle Network. Winners will get the jersey off the back of their favorite player, have it signed, and will be able to take a photo with him on the field following the game.
