The Columbus Clippers defeated the Rochester Red Wings, 3-2, in the rubber-match of their three-game series this afternoon at Huntington Park.
Brandon Barnes delivered a go-ahead two-run homerun in the bottom of the fifth inning that proved to be enough for the victory.

Clippers' starter Mitch Talbot put the team in a position to win, tossing five innings of two-hit baseball. He allowed one run, while walking three and striking out four.
After both teams started slow, going 18 up, 18 down through the first three innings, Columbus claimed a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Adam Rosales stroked an RBI double down the left field line.
Rochester promptly tied things up in the sixth, though, thanks to a Taylor Motter RBI double off Talbot, evening things at 1-1.
It didn't take long for the Clippers to answer back, as Barnes, with a man on, pummeled his 13th homerun of the season over the wall in left for the 3-1 lead.
The Columbus bullpen allowed one run after that, a Kennys Vargas solo shot in the ninth, but finished off the series-clinching win, 3-2.
The Clippers will welcome the Syracuse Chiefs to Huntington Park tomorrow, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
