Bees earn road sweep, beat Dayton 4-1

Though it wasn't pretty, the Bees won the final game of a three-game set against Reds affiliate Dayton 4-1 Saturday night.
Burlington swept the series, its second sweep of the year, and the first time they have swept multiple series since 2017.
The game featured the teams' batters combining to strike out 29 times, the Bees committing five errors, Dayton one, each team's pitchers hitting three batters, yet Burlington starter Cristopher Molina notched his second win in seven appearances against one loss. He went 5.1 innings, gave up three hits, walked one and struck outnine. He lowered his ERA to 1.35 by not allowing an earned run.
Tim Millard returned to the Bees lineup for the first time this season. The third baseman was two for three with a walk. He scored twice and drove in a run. Shortstop Gleyvin Pineda tossed three singles at the Dragons, one for an RBI.
Tyler Smith relieved Molina in the sixth inning and threw 1.2 scoreless. Connor Higgins finished it in the driving rain with two no-hit frames.
Burlington lowered its team earned run average to a ridiculous 2.52 runs per nine.
