We know one of the biggest questions on the mind of Bisons’ fans is: what have the players been up to the last two months? That’s why we used technology and video chatted with Patrick Kivlehan and Andy Bruns, two of the catalysts of the Bisons 2019 offensive surge that saw the team finish with a winning record.

Kivlehan’s 25 home runs with the Bisons were the most on the team, and his 29 overall between his time in Buffalo and Indianapolis ranked him fourth in the International League last season. He became the first Bison in six years to reach the 25 home run mark, while chipping in 66 RBIs in the process.

Burns came back to Buffalo for a third season after spending the previous two in the Korean Baseball Organization. As a result, the fan favorite has found his name start to appear in many top 10 offensive categories in the modern era. He is fifth in games played with 355, and doubles with 68, respectively.

‘The Voice of the Bisons’ Pat Malacaro chatted with the two veterans to discuss a wide range of topics including their workout habits to stay ready for the 2020 season. The two players also shared some memories from last season, and the promise that the Herd’s starting rotation would look like this year.

Burns also reflects on his travels internationally not only to Korea, but what the experience of playing the Australian Baseball League this past winter was like for himself and his wife. While Kivlehan takes us through his journey from the gridiron to the ball diamond while attending Rutgers University.
