BRADENTON, FL - In the second game of a three game set at LECOM Park, the Bradenton Marauders won their second game in as many nights against the Lakeland Flying Tigers to take a series victory with a chance for a sweep on Thursday. RHP Samuel Reyes took the hill in his first start with the club as an "Opener" and tossed three innings hitless in a no decision before RHP Hunter Stratton tossed the next 4.1 frames and allowed one run on just a pair of hits. RHP Logan Stoelke slammed the door in a 3-1 victory for his second save in as many tries on the season.
All the Marauders offense came in the home half of the third inning, all of them coming with two outs in the inning. After OF Cal Mitchell and OF Chris Sharpe singled, SS Robbie Glendinning cleared the bases and amounted to the only offense for the home side on a three-run home run to straight away center field to encapsulate the run scoring for the Marauders on Wednesday. Bradenton registered only four hits in the win, with a single hit apiece coming from each of the top four hitters in the lineup in the club's 30th win of the 2019 season. The win also pushed them a single game behind division and league leading Palm Beach, who fell to Daytona on Wednesday.
