Dayton, Ohio-The Burlington Bees battled back from an early three-run deficit to defeat the Dayton Dragons 9-4 on Friday night at Fifth Third Field. The Bees have taken the first two games of the three-game set that will conclude on Saturday night. A crowd of 8,132 was in attendance.

The Bees scored three runs after two men were out in the top of the fifth to take a 6-4 lead, then added single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to extend their lead to 8-4. They closed out the scoring with a run in the ninth.
The Dragons could not mount much of an attack after the first inning, producing just two hits over the final eight frames. They finished the night with six hits. Hernandez led the way, going 2 for 4 with a double and triple.
