Up 4-2 heading into the eighth inning at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, the Palm Beach Cardinals surrendered a trio of runs to the Daytona Tortugas and were unable to answer, falling 5-4 on Saturday night.

The Cardinals opened the scoring in the first inning on an Elijah Cabell bases-loaded single. Trailing, 2-1 in the fifth, the Beach Birds stormed back in front on RBIs from Aaron McKeithan and Jhon Torres, with Darlin Moquete also scoring from third base on a balk called Tortuga pitcher Ryan Cardona.

McKeithan--batting cleanup as the DH on Saturday--led Palm Beach offensively, going 2-5. Moquete, Jeremy Rivas and Jesus Orecchia each drew two walks on the night.

Trent Baker started on the mound and tossed five innings, striking out eight batters and surrendering two runs.
