The Oklahoma City Dodgers used four home runs to beat the Salt Lake Bees 9-3 on Tuesday night.The Bees struck first in the third inning on back-to-back solo home runs by Justin Bour and Jared Walsh to take a 2-0 lead.

Oklahoma City knotted the game 2-2 after belting a two-run homer with two outs in the fourth frame. The Dodgers continued their offensive surge and took a 7-2 lead by tacking on three runs in the fifth, one run in the sixth and one run in the seventh. Salt Lake was able to score one run in the eighth, but could not capitalize on a two-out, bases loaded opportunity. Oklahoma City capped off the night with a two-run shot in the ninth to secure the series opener.
Sam Freeman (0-1) was tagged with the loss after tossing two inning and allowing four runs on four hits. Matt Ball made the start for Salt Lake and gave up one run on one hit while striking out five batters. The Bees offense was led by Kaleb Cowart who went 3-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and a walk. Jose Rojas' 15-game hitting streak and 27-game home on-base streak came to an end as he went 0-for-5. Salt Lake was 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left a total of 16 runners stranded.
