OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Dodgers (48-36) had control from the start as they toppled the Iowa Cubs (39-47) 8-0, Wednesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. It's the fifth time Iowa has been shutout this season.

O'Koyea Dickson opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first and the Dodgers never relinquished the lead. Two more scored in the second, helped by a home run by Max Muncy, and Oklahoma City continued to build its edge.
A four-run fourth inning put the Dodgers ahead 8-0 and chased starter Seth Frankoff from the game. The righty ultimately allowed a career-high eight earned runs on 10 hits, walked two and whiffed three. Iowa's bullpen took over in the fifth and was able to hold off Oklahoma City batters. Dylan Floro, Ross Detwiler and Matt Carasiti rolled through 3.2 innings, allowing two hits, walking two and fanning three.
Justin Masterson was brilliant for the Dodgers, spinning seven two-hit innings. Iowa was held to three hits on the night - doubles from Mark Zagunis and Kyle Schwarber, and a single from John Andreoli.
Iowa and Oklahoma City complete the series with a 7:05 p.m. game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark tomorrow. Catch the action on AM 940 or www.iowacubs.com
