Portland, ME - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats needed just two hits to beat the Portland Sea Dogs 4-0 on Tuesday at Hadlock Field, spoiling the Independence Day celebration for a sold-out crowd of 7,368.
New Hampshire scored three runs without recording a hit in the first. Jonathan Davis, Richard Ureña and Danny Jansen all walked against starter Henry Owens, which set up a Ryan McBroom sacrifice fly to give the 'Cats a 1-0 lead. Owens would later walk in a pair of runs with the bases loaded, as free passes for Gunnar Heidt and Matt Dean plated a pair to make it 3-0.
Urena padded New Hampshire's advantage in the fourth. The #4 Blue Jays prospect (MLB.com) scored Dean - who walked to start the inning - with a two-out RBI double to give the Fisher Cats a 4-0 edge.

Sean Reid-Foley was solid in his sixteenth start of 2017. The Jacksonville, Florida native blanked Portland for six innings, allowed three hits, walked three and struck out one. Daniel Young was perfect in two innings of relief and Andrew Case pitched a scoreless night to secure the 4-0 win.
The shutout was the third of the season for the Fisher Cats.
The series continues Wednesday night at Hadlock Field. RHP Jon Harris (3-8, 6.01 ERA) will go for the 'Cats while RHP Kevin McAvoy (3-5, 5.03 ERA) gets the call for the Sea Dogs. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. and can be heard on AM 610 WGIR or online via iHeartRadio.
