Fightins to Host IronPigs in Exhibition on April 7th

(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils will gear up for the 2020 season with an exhibition game against affiliate rival Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, April 7th at 6:45 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Fans can get a preview of the 2020 R-Phils with general admission tickets available upon walkup for just $5, as Reading battles the Phillies Triple-A affiliate, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Reading leads the IronPigs all-time in the 222 Showcase, 6-4, with two cancellations due to rain. The series dates back to the 2008 season.
After Lehigh Valley won three of the first four exhibitions, Reading went on to win four straight meetings before a 5-3 loss on the road at Coca-Cola Park in 2017. While the following year's event was washed out, the Fightins rebounded in 2019 by topping the IronPigs, 7-3
The 2020 regular season opens at home on Thursday, April 9th with a 7:10 p.m. first pitch against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
