In the opening game of a three-game series in Springfield, the Drillers rallied with four runs in the top of the seventh, turning a one-run deficit into a 5-2 win. The victory snapped <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Tulsa's three-game losing streak.

Chris Parmalee upped the lead to 5-2 when he lined a double into the right field corner, scoring Santana and Thomas.
The <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Tulsa bullpen was outstanding as four relievers combined to work five scoreless innings. Chris Nunn and Yordy Cabrera each worked a scoreless frame, and Nolan Long did not allow a hit or a walk while holding the Cards scoreless in the seventh and eighth innings.
Layne Somsen worked around a one-out double in the bottom of the ninth to gain his third save of the season.
