Boise, ID - The Hawks couldn’t hang on to their early lead, falling by a final score of 8-4 against the Great Falls Voyagers on Thursday night at Memorial Stadium.

Things started with a bang for Boise, getting a solo home run from their third batter of the game, Alejandro Rivero to take an early 1-0 lead.

Bo McClintock would double the Hawks lead by taking a 3-2 pitch over the left field fence in the bottom of the second, his fourth bomb of the season.

The Voyagers would erase the 2-0 deficit in the top of the third, bringing home Quintin Alexander on a Troy Dixon single, and the tying and go-ahead runs on a Kyle Crowl RBI double.

Great Falls would never trail again, getting a run in the fifth, to make it 4-2, although Boise did make it 4-3 when Roby Enriquez scored Jason Dicochea from third with an RBI groundout in the bottom half of that inning.

A pair of two run innings would seal the victory for the Voyagers, who scored twice in the eighth and ninth, to make it 8-3.

Boise added their fourth run on a Jason Dicochea single to left field, bringing home Tyler Jorgensen from third after he led off the top of the ninth with a pinch hit double.

Tomorrow’s game will mark the halfway point of the season, and bring about the conclusion of the first half in the PBL.

To try and win the final game of the first half the Boise Hawks will place the PBL’s strikeout leader on the mound in the form of Matt Dallas, with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 in the first half finale.
