Blue Jays crank up heat for upcoming Hot Stove Luncheon

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation in cooperation with the Toronto Blue Jays has announced the players who will be attending the 5th Annual Scotiabank Vancouver Canadians Hot Stove Luncheon on Friday, January 23rd, 2015 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

The C's are proud to welcome newly acquired, Canadian-born catcher Russell Martin, former Vancouver Canadians pitchers Marcus Stroman and Aaron Sanchez, highly-touted pitcher Drew Hutchinson as well as Hall of Fame second baseman Roberto Alomar. The Canadians also anticipate Blue Jays president Paul Beeston and General Manager Alex Anthopoulos to be in attendance. (player and executive appearances are subject to change without notice)

The Scotiabank Vancouver Canadians Hot Stove Luncheon is in its fifth year and has helped more than 1,000 local children discover the game of baseball through its efforts and provides funding to a number of local programs and charities. Challenger Baseball, UBC Thunderbirds Baseball and the Vancouver Canadians Baseball League for children from all across the Lower Mainland between the ages of 6 & 11 have benefitted from the generosity displayed at this annual event.
