Pelicans single-game ticket sales available starting Friday

Ticket kick-off event with Pelicans TBC and Swings for Charity set for March 5

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (FEBRUARY 24, 2015) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, will release single-game tickets for purchase beginning this Friday, February 27.Fans can purchase single-game tickets, including Opening Night and July 3, online at MyrtleBeachPelicans.com. Fans who wish to purchase tickets in-person at the box office will be able to do so beginning on Thursday, March 5 at 5:00 p.m. when the Pelicans plan to host their third annual Ticket Kick-off Event. For the second straight year, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Travel Baseball Club (TBC) will play an exhibition game at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The night will also feature Swings for Charity to benefit the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues.

Admission for the Ticket Kick-off Event is free and gates will open at 4:30 p.m. The exhibition game will feature a big league experience for members of the Junior Pelicans. The game will be produced like a regular Pelicans home game with between inning contests, walk-up music, video board headshots, and more. The game will run from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Following the exhibition game, at approximately 6:00 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to take batting practice on the field in exchange for a donation to the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues. For a $10.00 donation fans can take 10 swings from home plate at TicketReturn.com Field. The entire $10.00 will go directly to the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues.

Limited concessions will be available from the time gates open until the event concludes and will include $1.00 Bud and Bud Light draft beers.

The event will also be broadcast live on Digity's WRNN 1450 AM ESPN Myrtle Beach, the flagship station for Pelicans games. Pelicans radio broadcaster Nathan Barnett will call the action of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans TBC contest and interview a variety of guests during the Swings for Charity hour.

All Pelicans season seat holders (full season, partial season, and Flex Book holders) will be able to pick up their ticket packages on this day as well, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Any questions should be directed to the Pelicans box office at (843) 918-6000.

Single-game tickets will be available for purchase during normal box office hours following the event. Off-season box office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays beginning March 21.
