Round Rock Express Announces Details of Fan Fest

Free Annual Event Welcomes Fans to Dell Diamond March 28

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Who says spring training is just for the players? The Round Rock Express will open the gates of Dell Diamond to the fans on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m - 2 p.m. for their annual Fan Fest. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Fan Fest welcomes all fans to revive their baseball spirit and fully immerse themselves in a Saturday full of family-friendly entertainment at Dell Diamond. Some of the activities being offered this year include a chance to take batting practice on the field, throw some heat in the bullpen and the return of the ever-popular hot dog eating contest! The team will also host a Q&A session with team President Jay Miller, General Manager Chris Almendarez and broadcaster Mike Capps. 

Tickets for all Express games will be available for purchase during Fan Fest at the Dell Diamond ticket office and online at While at the stadium, fans will have the opportunity to scope out the exact seat location for their season tickets with packages including Full Season, Fireworks Plus and Flex Plans. Registration for the Junior Sluggers Kids Club will also take place, plus great specials and giveaways.

On Friday, April 17, the Express kick off their 2015 season with an eight-game home stand that includes four-game series' with the Memphis Redbirds (April 17-20) and Colorado Springs Sky Sox (April 21-24). 2015 Express Fan Fest (10 a.m. - 2 p.m., unless otherwise noted):

Bullpen Pitching: Think you can throw some heat? Toe the rubber like the pros and toss a few pitches in the Express home bullpen!

Express Fun Zone: Portions of the Express Fun Zone will be open, including the rock climbing wall, speed pitch, sport court and the bounce house.

Fan Batting Practice: Fans are invited down to the field to take a few cuts where the Express play. The Express will provide helmets and bats.

Fan Photos: Stop in the Express clubhouse to get your very own baseball card photo made.

Hot Dog Eating Contest: Open to all fans, the competition will take place on top of the home dugout at noon. Fans can sign up ahead of time at this link.  

Individual Game Tickets: Tickets to individual games will be available for purchase during the fest at the Dell Diamond ticket office and online at

Junior Sluggers Kids Club Sign-Up: Young fans will be able to sign up for Junior Sluggers in the Railyard Team Store.

Q & A Session w/ Jay Miller, Chris Almendarez, & Mike Capps: Everyone is invited to the Intel Club at for a question and answer session with Express Team President Jay Miller, General Manager Chris Almendarez, and the voice of the Express Mike Capps. Fans will be able to submit their questions via social media. (Exact time TBD)

Railyard Sale: The Railyard Team Store will have a sale with discounted merchandise, as well grab bags and a prize wheel.

Round Rock K9 Memorial Police and Firefighter Auction - bid on a date with one of Round Rock's Finest and raise money for the K9 Memorial in Round Rock! Dates will be held Opening Day at Dell Diamond (April 17) and include two tickets and dinner in the Intel Club!

RS3 Food Tasting: Join us in the Intel Club as we sample a few new and exciting food offerings coming to Dell Diamond.

Scavenger Hunt:  Fans will embark on a self-guided tour of various areas of Dell Diamond. Each location will have a clue that will give fans more information on a unique aspect of the stadium and a hint for the next stop on the tour. Any fan who successfully completes the scavenger hunt will receive a Be Our Guest Card, good for two reserved-seat tickets for a regular-season Sunday through Thursday game.
