Sounds Reveal 2015 Promotional Schedule

35 Giveaway Nights & 14 Firework Shows Headline Initial Season At First Tennessee Park
March 18, 2015

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds are thrilled to announce the 2015 promotional schedule today as the team prepares for the initial season at state-of-the-art First Tennessee Park, which opens next month. The promotional calendar includes 35 giveaway nights, 14 fireworks shows, three jersey auctions, a new twist on Throwback Thursdays, and even more family-friendly entertainment as baseball comes home to Sulphur Dell.

The fun starts with a boom at First Tennessee Park, as the Sounds have a total of 14 firework shows that are set to take place after every Friday home game, and a final show after the home season finale on Thursday, September 3. The 14 firework extravaganzas feature Opening Night on Friday, April 17 and the annual Independence Day show on Friday, July 3.

Fans will be treated to 35 different giveaway nights in 2015 including plenty of gear that features the team's new logos and colors.

Individual tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning on Monday, March 23 at 9 a.m.

At the forefront of this year's promotional schedule is T-Shirt Tuesdays, presented by The Tennessean. The first 2,000 fans to arrive at First Tennessee Park on every Tuesday home game will receive a special tee with a different design for every contest. Additional t-shirt giveaways include an Independence Day shirt on July 3 (4,000 fans), presented by Nashville International Airport, and a t-shirt giveaway presented by the Founding and Platinum sponsors of First Tennessee Park (7,000 fans) on August 21.

Focusing on the history of the ballpark's site, the Sounds will honor one of the teams of the past at Sulphur Dell. On August 6, the first 3,000 fans will receive a Vintage Nashville Vols Bobblehead to tie in with the team's Throwback Thursday promotion (more info below).

Another aspect of the promotional calendar includes various jersey auctions. Fans will be able to bid in a silent auction for players' game-used jerseys during three separate games. The specialty jerseys include the Stars & Stripes uniforms worn on July 3, a camouflage jersey worn every Sunday home game and auctioned off on August 16, and a final jersey to be named later.

The Sounds and Trevecca Nazarene University have teamed up again to bring fans a Faith Night Bobblehead series that builds off of last year's start to the nativity scene. On June 28, the first 2,000 fans in attendance will be treated to an Angel bobblehead, while the first 2,000 fans present on August 9 will walk away with a bobblehead of Joseph.

The opening homestand is when the giveaway excitement begins. For Opening Night at First Tennessee Park (April 17), the first 4,000 fans will receive a Sounds Piggy Bank, presented by First Tennessee. All 35 giveaways included in the 2015 promotional schedule are listed below.

THURSDAY: Throwback Thursdays

Continuing our popular Throwback Thursday series for a fifth year, the Sounds reach back into the rich baseball history at Sulphur Dell to honor the 1940 Nashville Vols as this season's uniform style. During its centennial celebration in 2002, Minor League Baseball rated the 1940 Southern Association champion Nashville Vols as their #47 entry on its list of the Top 100 All-Time Minor League Teams. In addition, fans will be able to purchase select beers and soft drinks for $2 all night.

FRIDAY: Friday Night Fireworks

The Sounds will suit up in their all black "Music City" alternate uniforms every Friday home game, which will be followed by a stunning fireworks display.

SUNDAY: Military Sundays / Autograph Day / Kids Runs The Bases

Kids 12 and under will be given the chance to participate in the post-game base run each Sunday, presented by First Tennessee.

The 2015 promotional lineup will continue to grow and evolve through Opening Night and into the season with more fun theme nights and events to be added in the future. Promotions are always subject to change.
