Tides Fall Short in Road Trip Finale

Michael Almanzar had three hits with one RBI but the Tides fell short in a 4-2 loss at Louisville Slugger Field Wednesday. . 

Almanzar had three singles, one of which scored Henry Urrutia in the seventh. His three hits extended his hitting streak to four games which ties his previous season high. 

Tides starting pitcher, Eddie Gamboa (2-3) took the loss after allowing three earned runs on five hits and two walks and four strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work. .

The Tides finish their seven game road trip with two wins and five loses. Winning one against Indianapolis and one against Louisville. 

The Tides return home to Harbor Park Thursday to kick off an eight game homestand against the Rochester Redwings at 6:35pm. Michael Bowden will be the Tides starting pitcher (2-1, 2.36 ERA) facing Pat Dean (3-3, 2.44 ERA) of Rochester.
