For the week ending May 31
June 1, 2015

Here's a look at the top offensive performers in each league for the week ending May 31:

International League
Cole Figueroa, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
(.550/.609/.800, 6 G, 11-for-20, 2 2B, 1 HR, 10 RBI, 2 R, 3 BB, 1 K, 1 CS)
The 27-year-old stole the spotlight from rehabbing Masahiro Tanaka on May 27 by going 5-for-5 with a homer, a double and five RBIs in the RailRiders' 9-6 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox. He picked up four more RBIs in his next game on May 29 and lifted his average to .270 through 42 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on the season. Figueroa is a career .289 hitter in the Minors, including batting averages of .286, .286 and .282 the past three years in the International League, all with Durham.

Pacific Coast League
Jamie Romak, Reno
(.538/.552/1.115, 7 G, 14-for-26, 3 2B, 4 HR, 14 RBI, 7 R, 2 BB, 3 K, 1 SB)
The 29-year-old Ontario native started his week with three homers in two games, going 5-for-8 with 10 RBIs in the first two of four games the Aces played at the Iowa Cubs. He hit safely in all seven games he played, adding another homer on May 30. Romak has eight homers and an .840 OPS in 47 games with Reno.

Eastern League
Devin Harris, Richmond
(.370/.433/.667, 7 G, 10-for-27, 2 2B, 2 HR, 10 RBI, 9 R, 3 BB, 5 K)
A 48th-round pick in the 2010 Draft, Harris is in the midst of one of his best seasons as a pro, with last week earning him the second Player of the Week award of his career. The 27-year-old Harris carried a nine-game hitting streak through most of the week, losing the run with an 0-for-3 outing on Sunday. The Gastonia, North Carolina native has a .297 average with four homers and an .862 OPS with the Flying Squirrels this season.

Southern League
Orlando Arcia, Biloxi
(.455/.478/.818, 5 G, 10-for-22, 5 2B, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 6 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 CS)
Touted as a glove-first prospect, the 20-year-old has broken out at the Double-A level with a league-leading .341 average and 17 doubles through 48 games. Arcia put together a pair of three-hit games last week and two more two-hit performances. Arcia's 7.9 percent strikeout rate is the best in the Southern League among qualified hitters.

Texas League
Carson Blair, Midland
(.350/.500/.700, 6 G, 7-for-20, 3 2B, 2 3B, 12 RBI, 4 R, 6 BB, 2 K)
The 25-year-old backstop set career highs with 11 home runs and 49 RBIs between Class A Advanced Salem and Double-A Portland last year in the Red Sox's system. Now in Oakland's organization, Blair is on pace to shatter the RBI mark, thanks in large part to a run-producing barrage last week that gave him 23 RBIs on the season. The 2008 35th-round pick drove in runs in five consecutive games, including a four-RBI performance on May 26.

California League
James Ramsay, Lancaster
(.519/.552/.926, 6 G, 14-for-27, 2 2B, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 11 R, 2 BB, 4 K)
The JetHawks outfielder hit safely in all six games he played last week, with multi-hit efforts in five of them. He clubbed a pair of homers and drove in five runs on May 27, then finished his week by going 4-for-5 with three runs on Saturday and 3-for-6 with a home run on Sunday. Ramsay is batting .299 with four homers and an .802 OPS in 42 games with Lancaster this season.

Carolina League
Kevin Brown, Myrtle Beach
(.429/.500/.810, 6 G, 9-for-21, 1 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 4 R, 3 BB, 3 K, 1 SB)
Brown went into the week batting just .192 with the Pelicans, but lifted his average all the way to .260 by Sunday thanks to an impressive six-game hitting streak. The jewel of Brown's week was a 3-for-3 performance on May 30 that included a home run, three RBIs and two walks. The 2013 22nd-round pick has split time this year between Myrtle Beach and Triple-A Iowa, hitting .274 with one homer over 28 games.

Florida State League
Dominic Smith, St. Lucie
(.385/.385/.692, 6 G, 10-for-26, 5 2B, 1 HR, 10 RBI, 6 R, 0 BB, 3 K)
Heading into this past weekend, the 2013 first-rounder (11th overall) had just one home run over his previous 162 games. He proved there's some pop in his stick with an opposite-field, walk-off home run on Saturday night, then followed up with a three-hit, four-RBI performance on Sunday. "I have no concern whatsoever in that," said St. Lucie manager Luis Rojas when asked about Smith's lack of power production. Rojas points to Smith's 14 doubles and up-the-middle approach as reason for optimism that Smith with grow into more power as he matures.

Midwest League
Yasiel Balaguert, South Bend
(.650/.619/1.200, 5 G, 13-for-20, 2 2B, 3 HR, 5 RBI, 6 R, 0 BB, 3 K)
The Cuban outfielder is in his fourth season with the Cubs and second in the Midwest League, with this year's effort proving the most fruitful yet. Balguert is batting .295 with four homers and an .830 OPS through 32 games. He homered in his third straight game on May 29 and carries that streak into Monday after rain spoiled South Bend's weekend action.

South Atlantic League
Omar Carrizales, Asheville
(.516/.351/.710, 7 G, 16-for-31, 2 2B, 2 3B, 2 RBI, 6 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 SB, 3 CS)
A 20-year-old out of Venezuela, Carrizales has taken the South Atlantic League by storm in his first look at full-season ball. In 24 games, he's hitting .368 with seven extra-base hits and 12 stolen bases. He turned in five multi-hit efforts last week, highlighted by a 5-for-6 performance against Augusta on May 30. Carrizales has yet to homer for the Tourists, but he's done seemingly everything else for the Rockies' Class A affiliate.
