Outfielder cracked four homers, scored nine times
June 15, 2015

DURHAM, NC - The International League announced today that Durham outfielder Corey Brown was selected as the league's Batter of the Week for the week June 8th to June 14th.

Over seven games last week, in which the Bulls went 6-1, Brown batted .370 (10-for-27) with four home runs and nine RBIs. His four homers over that span tied for the league-lead with teammate Richie Shaffer, while his nine runs scored were the most in the IL. On June 9th against Lehigh Valley at the DBAP, the 29-year-old veteran tallied his second multi-home run game of the season and drove in five in the Bulls' 7-4 victory.

On the season Brown is tied for the league-lead with 10 home runs, marking the sixth consecutive season he's reached double-digit home run totals. This selection is the first time he's won IL Batter of the Week honors since May 29th, 2012 when he was a member of the Syracuse Chiefs. Overall this is the third time he's been named the league's top batter.

The Durham Bulls open a seven-game homestand on Thursday, June 18th at 7:05 p.m. against the Columbus Clippers. Mini Plans, group and single game tickets are available now. For more information, visit durhambulls.com, the DBAP ticket office or call 919.956.BULL.
