Bipartisan Jersey Unveiled!

Fans can choose hat to accompany jersey for season-opener
March 1, 2016

On the day dubbed 'Super Tuesday' in the presidential election cycle, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats are celebrating in bipartisan fashion. For the first time, the team unveiled the 'bipartisan' jersey that will be worn on Opening Day alongside with the red elephant hat or blue donkey hat as voted on by fans across the country.

"We have had a blast this offseason celebrating 100 years of the New Hampshire Primary with fans voting on which hat we'll wear on Opening Day," said Fisher Cats President and GM Rick Brenner. "We've had votes cast from all 50 states, we're less than 45 days from Opening Day, and there's no snow on the field. Needless to say, we're excited to get the season going and to see which hat our fans choose to go along with these spectacular new jerseys."

The bipartisan jerseys are half red and half blue, and feature 'Fisher Cats' in script across the chest and white numerals on the back. The blue sleeve is adorned with the donkey emblem while the red sleeve features the elephant logo.

Fans have had the opportunity to celebrate New Hampshire's political history and importance by voting for which hat the team will wear with the jerseys on Opening Day. At press time, Red led Blue 51 percent to 49 percent. Voting is scheduled to close in one month, on April 1.

Additional hat votes have been cast when fans purchase the hat they support or when they purchase tickets to Opening Day. Fans with tickets to the first game have also received a ballot allowing them to determine Opening Day experiences including music and video themes, patriotic cotton candy color, mascot games, hot dog toppings, and more.

Fans can continue to vote for the Opening Day hat by visiting www.wethefans2016.com through April 1.

The Fisher Cats will celebrate Opening Day April 14 against the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees). Tickets for all 2016 games are available now by visiting www.nhfishercats.com, calling 603-641-2005, or by visiting Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. A full calendar of promotions is also available on the team's website.
