Let's Play Three! Tuesday's Games Postponed

Lynchburg and Potomac will play a de facto tripleheader at 3 p.m.
May 3, 2016

Due to an afternoon rain storm causing unplayable field conditions, the Lynchburg Hillcats games scheduled for Tuesday against the Potomac Nationals have been postponed. The 'Cats will finish Monday's suspended game and play two seven-inning games on Wednesday, creating a de facto tripleheader.

Initial searches indicate this will be the first tripleheader in the Carolina League since August 1, 1996, when the Frederick Keys and Salem Avalanche finished three games in Frederick.

The first game will pick up in the fifth inning with a runner on first and nobody out for the Nationals, who have a 4-2 lead. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Fans can listen to the action on 93.3 FM and 1320 AM as well as www.lynchburg-hillcats.com.
