Bulls Can't Find A Run In 10-Hit Loss To Bisons
DURHAM - The Durham Bulls tallied 10 hits, but couldn't score a run in a 3-0 loss to the Buffalo Bisons on Thursday at the DBAP. The Bulls lose the four-game series 3-1 with today's loss.
Every Bulls batter had a hit, but Dayron Varona led Durham (15-19) at the plate, going 2 for 4 with two doubles. Varona was the only Bull to have a multi-hit game. Durham was 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position.
Austin Pruitt (2-2) went six innings on the mound with six hits, three runs, one earned run, no walks and four strikeouts in the loss for Durham.
Wade LeBlanc (4-1) earned the win with 6.1 innings of work, nine hits, no runs, no walks and six strikeouts for Buffalo (15-18).
The Bulls' best chance to score came when they loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the fourth. Carlos Corporan started it off by getting hit by a pitch, Patrick Leonard reached on an error, and Cameron Seitzer singled before a flyout ended the inning.
The Bulls hit the road for a pair of three-game sets with Charlotte and Gwinnett, before returning home Thursday, May 19, for a four-game series with Rochester. Tickets are available at DurhamBulls.com, or at the Frontier Communications Ticket Office at 919.956.BULL.
