Norfolk, VA --- Durham right-hander Jaime Schultz blew by the first 20 hitters of the game before his charge toward history ended as the surging Bulls won their sixth straight game 6-0 over the Norfolk Tides on Monday night at Harbor Park.

Schultz (W, 5-2) fanned 10 over a career-tying seven innings, but lost his bid at perfection on a clean, two-out double inside the third base bag by Mike Yastrzemski in the seventh inning.

Beyond that, Schultz was unstoppable. Aside of three hard-hit balls during the outing, Schultz was completely in charge, fanning 10 and pitching to just one three-ball count during the outing.

The Bulls (27-32) struck for two runs in the third inning on an RBI-single by Jake Hager in his first AAA at-bat. Two innings later, Daniel Robertson drove a three-run homer over the left field wall as the Bulls pulled away to a six run lead.

Eddie Gamboa, who spent portions of the last four years pitching for Norfolk, tossed two scoreless innings to cap Durham's second straight shutout.

The series continues Tuesday at 12:05 PM ET with Austin Pruitt (4-3, 2.48) on the mound for the Bulls.
