Brian Matusz to Join Tides on Rehab Assignment; Pitch Friday

The Norfolk Tides announced Wednesday that LH Brian Matusz will join the club on Friday and start that night against the Columbus Clippers.

The Baltimore Orioles No. 2 starter, Matusz has yet to pitch in the big leagues in 2011. He was the fourth overall selection in the 2008 draft and has gone 15-14 with a 4.37 ERA for the Orioles since making his Major League debut in 2009.
