Bisons Host Annual HR Derby Sunday

Pascucci, Lutz and Satin duel for HR Crown
August 24, 2011

Heed this warning...you may not want to drive on Oak St. on Sunday night.

That's because right-handed sluggers Valentino Pascucci, Zach Lutz and Josh Satin have been announced as the three players scheduled to participate in Sunday, August 28's Home Run Derby, presented by Blackberry, following the Bisons game against the Rochester Red Wings.

The Herd hosts the rival Red Wings at 6:05 p.m. and there will be Fireworks after the game as well. Plus, home runs hit could mean big prizes for you!

Three lucky fans will be randomly chosen before the game with each being assigned to slugger. If your player wins the competition, you will win two ticket packages to the 2012 Triple-A Home Run Derby and All-Star Game at Coca-Cola Field.

Plus, there will be am All-Star Game Target set up in left field for the competition. Every time that gets hit, one lucky fan will win a special on-field pass for the 2012 Triple-A Home Run Derby.

All three hitters have had big years for the Bisons or in the Mets organization in 2011. Pascucci has launched 20 home runs this year and has 37 blasts in just over a year and a half with Buffalo. Lutz has 10 home runs of his own in just 55 games with the Herd for a team-best .505 slugging percentage. All Satin has done this year is hit 12 home runs and 56 extra-base hits between Buffalo and Double-A Binghamton.

Hitters will compete in one round of 10 outs (any swing that's not a home run). The top two will advance onto the finals and have five outs each to rack up as many home runs as possible.

Fans can purchase tickets HERE and be a part of all the fun as there are ONLY 4 HOME GAMES LEFT in 2011.
