Bulls Drop 2nd Straight In Pawtucket, 4-1

May 3, 2013
Pawtucket, RI -- Pawtucket's Allen Webster handcuffed Durham over six innings, fanning nine as the Red Sox won their second straight over the Bulls 4-1 on Friday night.
Webster (W, 1-0) allowed just two hits and didn't walk a batter. The Red Sox (17-11) scored four early runs against Bulls starter Alex Colome (L, 1-4).
The PawSox loaded the bases in the first with no outs, but were held to just one run on a sac fly by Ryan Lavarnway. Pawtucket scored a second run in the second inning after consecutive singles to begin the inning. A Jackie Bradley Jr. grounder scored Mark Hamilton from third.
Durham (18-10) scored its only run in the third on a single to right by Jason Bourgeois to score Brandon Guyer to make it 2-1.
But Lavarnway hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the third against Colome to put the PawSox up 4-1.
From that point on, the teams combined for two hits. Colome, Will Inman and Jeff Beliveau no-hit the PawSox over the final 5 2/3 innings.
Leslie Anderson had two of the four Bulls hits.
The series continues Saturday at 1:05 PM ET with JD Martin (2-1, 4.50) opposing Pawtucket's Terry Doyle (2-1, 2.93).
