5th Annual Fan Fest & Camp Expo

Richmond, Va. - The Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have announced plans for their Fan Fest and Camp Expo which will take place on Saturday, March 1st, from 9 AM - 12 PM at The Diamond. Fan Fest is the first opportunity for fans to purchase single game tickets for the 2014 season. Individual ticket sales for Fan Fest attendees will begin at The Diamond at 9 AM. Online orders or by phone will start at 10 AM. The annual event is free to attend and will feature music, games, kids bounce houses and a petting zoo. Fans 21 and over may also participate in the premier tasting of the Squirrels newly branded beer, Chin Music, brewed in partnership with Center of the Universe Brewery Co.

The first 25 fans to purchase single game tickets will also receive a free Squirrels T-shirt along with the opportunity to watch fireworks from the field on Opening Night. Fans are also encouraged to bring any gently used baseball gloves to be donated to the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department. For each glove donated, fans will be rewarded one raffle ticket for various prizes. Area camps listed below will also be on hand with information regarding their summer programs.

Fans can also visit the Squirrels Nest presented by Nike Team and save up to 40% off! Save 25% off on kids sweatshirts and long sleeves, 40% off jackets, and 40% off selected hats!

CAMP FAIR:

In addition to Fan Fest, Squirrels Fans will have the opportunity to learn more about local summer camps around Richmond. Visit Lewis & Clark Leadership, YMCA Camp Silver Beach, Peak Experiences, Uptown Alley and the Rainbow Station table for information about their camps all summer long.

Season-ticket and mini-plan packages for the fifth season of Flying Squirrels baseball are currently available. The fifth season will open at The Diamond on April 10th, 2014, as for the first time the Squirrels will bring a Flying Circus to Richmond.
